Defeats in Twilight Struggle and Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage

Last Tuesday night, Tim finished me off as the US in "Twilight Struggle" with a whopping -30 Soviet Victory! Allowing Tim to do multiple scoring of the Middle East for control was the biggest mistake I made in the game, but not the only one.

Last Sunday, Glen and I had our tournament game of "Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage," and he won. I was playing the Romans. First of all, Hannibal nearly captured Rome, using the Carthaginian siege train. Then I killed off Hannibal. Then Tiberius Longus had a very bad time in Spain, and was killed. Following that, other Roman generals killed off Mago in Italy. The Carthaginians played the alliance with Syracuse, but then Marcellus retook the city for Rome. Then Scipio Africanus nearly took Carthage but was wiped out by Mago before he could put the final siege point on the city. Mago then went to Italy again and added to the territories that Carthage controlled. The final count at the end of game turn 9 was 12 territories for Carthage and 5 territories for Rome.

I just love both games!

When Tim can come over on a Tuesday night again, we will start a campaign game of "A House Divided".

Charles and I will try to finish up our game of "Hannibal: Rome vs. Carthage" next Saturday.
